ಒಂದು ದಿನ ರಾಹುಲ್ ತನ್ನ ದೇಹದ ಭಾಗಗಳನ್ನು ಕಲಿಯುತ್ತಿದ್ದನು. ಅವನು ಸಂತೋಷವಾಗಿ ಹೇಳಿದನು, "ನನ್ನ ಕತ್ತು ಉದ್ದವಾಗಿದೆ." ಶಿಕ್ಷಕರು ನಂತರ ಜಿರಾಫೆಯ ಚಿತ್ರವನ್ನು ತೋರಿಸಿದರು. ಎಲ್ಲ ಮಕ್ಕಳು ನೋಡುತ್ತಾ ಹೇಳಿದರು, "ಜಿರಾಫೆಯ ಕತ್ತು ತುಂಬಾ ಉದ್ದವಾಗಿದೆ." ಶಾಲೆಯಿಂದ ಮನೆಗೆ ಬಂದ ನಂತರ ಚಳಿ ಇತ್ತು. ಆಗ ಅಮ್ಮ ನನ್ನ ಕತ್ತಿಗೆ ದುಪ್ಪಟ್ಟೆ ಹಾಕಿದರು. ಮರುದಿನ ಶಾಲೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಶಿಕ್ಷಕರು ಎಲ್ಲ ಮಕ್ಕಳಿಗೂ ಹೇಳಿದರು, "ಶಾಲೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಕತ್ತು ನೇರವಾಗಿ ಇಟ್ಟು ಕುಳಿತುಕೊಳ್ಳಿ." ಮಕ್ಕಳು ಚೆನ್ನಾಗಿ ಕುಳಿತರು ಮತ್ತು ಸಂತೋಷದಿಂದ ಓದಿದರು. ನಂತರ ಅವರು ಪ್ರಾಣಿಗಳ ಉದ್ಯಾನವನಕ್ಕೆ ಹೋದರು. ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಒಂದು ಆಮೆ ನಿಧಾನವಾಗಿ ತನ್ನ ತಲೆಯನ್ನು ಹೊರಗೆ ತೋರಿಸಿತು. ಮಕ್ಕಳು ನಗುತ್ತಾ ಹೇಳಿದರು, "ಆಮೆಯ ಕತ್ತು ನಿಧಾನವಾಗಿ ಹೊರಗೆ ಬರುತ್ತದೆ." ಆ ದಿನ ಎಲ್ಲರೂ ಕತ್ತು ನಮ್ಮ ದೇಹದ ಮುಖ್ಯ ಭಾಗ ಎಂದು ತಿಳಿದುಕೊಂಡರು. ಒಳ್ಳೆಯ ಭಂಗಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಕುಳಿತುಕೊಳ್ಳುವುದು ಆರೋಗ್ಯಕ್ಕೆ ಒಳ್ಳೆಯದು ಎಂಬುದನ್ನೂ ಅವರು ಕಲಿತರು. ಎಲ್ಲರೂ ಸಂತೋಷದಿಂದ ಮನೆಗೆ ಹಿಂತಿರುಗಿದರು.

English Translation

One day, Rahul was learning about body parts. He happily said, "My neck is long." The teacher then showed a picture of a giraffe. All the children looked and said, "The giraffe's neck is very long." After returning home from school, the weather became cold. So Mother put a scarf around my neck. The next day at school, the teacher told everyone, "Sit with your neck straight at school." The children sat properly and enjoyed learning. Later, they visited a zoo where a turtle slowly stretched its neck out. The children laughed and said, "The turtle slowly stretches its neck out." They learned that the neck is an important part of our body and that sitting with good posture helps us stay healthy. Everyone returned home happily.
