ಒಂದು ಪುಟ್ಟ ಊರಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಕೆಲವು ಮಕ್ಕಳು ಒಟ್ಟಾಗಿ ಆಟವಾಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದರು. ಹೊಸ ಸ್ನೇಹಿತನನ್ನು ನೋಡಿ ಅವರು ಸಂತೋಷದಿಂದ, ಸ್ನೇಹಿತನೇ, ಬನ್ನಿ ಆಟ ಆಡೋಣ. ಎಂದು ಕರೆದರು. ಬೆಳಿಗ್ಗೆ ಶಾಲೆಯ ಸಮಯವಾದಾಗ ಶಿಕ್ಷಕರು, ಮಕ್ಕಳೇ, ಬನ್ನಿ ಶಾಲೆಗೆ ಹೋಗೋಣ. ಎಂದರು. ಶಾಲೆಯ ನಂತರ ಮಕ್ಕಳು ತಮ್ಮ ಅಜ್ಜನ ಮನೆಗೆ ಹೋದರು. ಎಲ್ಲರೂ ಸೇರಿ, ಅಜ್ಜ, ಬನ್ನಿ ಕಥೆ ಹೇಳಿ. ಎಂದು ವಿನಂತಿಸಿದರು. ಕಥೆ ಮುಗಿದ ಮೇಲೆ ಅಜ್ಜ ಮಕ್ಕಳನ್ನು ತೋಟಕ್ಕೆ ಕರೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಹೋದರು. ಅವರು, ಬನ್ನಿ ತೋಟದಲ್ಲಿ ಹೂಗಳನ್ನು ನೋಡೋಣ. ಎಂದರು. ಹೂಗಳನ್ನು ನೋಡಿದ ನಂತರ ಪರಿಸರವನ್ನು ಸ್ವಚ್ಛವಾಗಿಡುವ ಮಹತ್ವವನ್ನು ತಿಳಿಸಿದರು. ಕೊನೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಎಲ್ಲರೂ ಸೇರಿ, ಬನ್ನಿ ನಾವು ಮರಗಳನ್ನು ನೆಡೋಣ. ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿ ಸಸಿಗಳನ್ನು ನೆಟ್ಟರು. ಮಕ್ಕಳು ಸಂತೋಷಪಟ್ಟರು. ಆ ದಿನ ಅವರು ಒಟ್ಟಾಗಿ ಕೆಲಸ ಮಾಡುವುದು ಮತ್ತು ಎಲ್ಲರನ್ನೂ ಪ್ರೀತಿಯಿಂದ "ಬನ್ನಿ" ಎಂದು ಆಹ್ವಾನಿಸುವುದು ಒಳ್ಳೆಯ ಅಭ್ಯಾಸ ಎಂದು ಕಲಿತರು.

English Translation

In a small village, some children were playing together. When they saw a new friend, they happily said, "Friend, come! Let's play." In the morning, their teacher invited them by saying, "Children, come! Let us go to school." After school, they visited their grandfather and requested, "Grandfather, come and tell us a story." After the story, he took them to the garden and said, "Come, let us see the flowers." Then he taught them the importance of keeping nature clean. Finally, everyone said, "Come, let us plant trees," and planted young saplings together. The children were happy and learned that inviting others kindly by saying "ಬನ್ನಿ" is a good habit.
